Strange Empire: The Curiosities of Rebecca Blithely

The CBC commissioned a interactive companion piece to accompany their up-and-coming western drama. Our concept: to enter the story through the eyes of the brilliant, but troubled doctor, Rebecca Blithely. Using her character as a lens, we explore her world through objects she collects that give clues to her past, her relationships, and her secrets.

I worked hand-in-hand with the creator and writer Laurie Finstad, lead writer Amy Lee Lavoie, and Actress Melissa Farman, to produce 13 unique stories in both interactive and movie formats. I executed all the interactive design, direction, camera work, illustration, motion graphics, cell animation, and 3D animation for this project.
