Cleon Peterson

This is an adaptation of a pattern by Cleon Peterson that I saw at my friend's house. We were getting together to work on some hand-drawn icons but when he showed me the print, I couldn't think about doing anything else. I've been reading about Peterson since then, his life, his work, strong, violent, and strangely poetic. The pattern had additional details—an oil pump and the Texaco logo—that I ended up not including even though the symbolism is awesome. If you don't know Cleon Peterson: http://cleonpeterson.com
