Group Toggle Slide

Animated wireframes, playing with an idea to toggle an interface from instant action to multi-select with a toggle and the appropriate cues.

Using the 80/20 rule for this app, most interactions really desire going straight into a 1-on-1 chat versus creating a new group on the fly. This supports quick action for the main use case, with some extra steps to create a group but using the same screen.
