Ohio River

There is something oddly charming about living in a river city. I guess I never actually realized it until I moved to Dallas. I miss being literally a walk away from the riverbank. I think as a kid I always had a thought within me -- If I ever wanted to really run away all I had to do was get all Huck Finn about it and I could just make my way down the Ohio River. Thankfully I never let that naive notion come to fruition. I will say. I've crossed the Mississippi many times in my life and although it may be the heftier river it just doesn't quite hold up to the Ohio.
