Marsha P. Johnson was a queer activist and popular figure of the NYC Queer Art Scene. She was the founder, alongside Sylvia Riveria, of Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR). A common muse to Andy Warhol, she was a veteran of the Stonewall Riots.
