Out Of The Box Illustrations

American Federation of Arts in partnership with the Bata Shoe Museum and Skira Rizzoli produced the art book, Out of the Box: The Rise of Sneaker Culture in 2015 to coincide with the show opening at Brooklyn Museum, and I was brought on to illustrate humorous cartoon sneaker situations for a section on collectable sneaker care. Thanks to curator Michelle Hargrave and editor Jessica Fuller for the opportunity to illustrate the intriguing, specific methods of vintage sneaker conservation.
