Birthday invite

I happily realized one of the unexpected joys of motherhood: designing party invites :) I took the opportunity (since he can’t tell me what he wants his party to be like yet) to design an invite that is simple, typographic and fun.

Yellow has become my son’s signature color so I embraced that, combined with surveyor's beautiful proportions and some whimsy with an off-kilter layout. I printed these on Rolland 100lb recycled cover stock on my large format epson. * Some of the type is bigger than I would have liked, but we have several nonagenarians on the guest list, so legibility was of the utmost importance :)
