Surf.io ... bruh

I came across this early concept that I did for a friend who is currently looking to better predict the best places to catch waves. We started on desktop first, with mobile being planned to come out soon after.

The main scenario that drove the design was:
I have two days that I can go out to surf this week, what days should I go?

The approach was to show all locations nearby (assuming geolocation is turned on) and visually indicate the best spots in green. The user can then click into the pin and view more information as well as historical data. There is also other additional meta data that we expose such as buoy data. The spanned indicators within the chart/graph specify the best times to grab your board and go
