I finally looked up the meaning of 'AC' and 'CE.' From what I can tell, they mean 'All Clear' and 'Clear Entry' – Clear Entry meaning 'Clear what I'm currently entering, but keep the last resulting number.'

Since this has always been a problem for me, I decided to design a calculator that made those options a little more clear. I'm not sure if this does that, but I think it's getting closer. Any suggestions for how to make the 'Clear Entry' button read more intuitively? Maybe something like 'clear current function'? For the same reasons, I replaced the typical 'Clear' with 'Start Over.' (Obviously I am recreating a calculator specifically for my own preferences. So, if you have suggestions, please share them!)

Image 1 shows the calculator mid-equation.

Image 2 shows the resulting sum. If the user started typing another function, the sum would replace the history above and the additional function would act as it does in Image 1.

Image 3 is just some process for fun PLUS a calculator that I've been carrying around with me for about 25 years.
