Plum iOS App

Plum is an IoT company here in Austin. They manufacture wifi connected lightpads that replace standard home light switches. With the app you can schedule events, create scenes (presets), and control all of your home lighting from anywhere in the world with a few button presses. Live reporting of energy usage is currently implemented and additional reporting is in the pipeline.

The concept behind the app was to allow a user to dive in and out of rooms, adjusting lights and quickly gather room activity information. The tiles in the center pic are individual lights. Semi-transparent tiles are lights that are off.

Vibrant IU is often overdone. However, in the context of a lighting company, it felt appropriate. Additionally, it allows us to have a dynamic background which changes for the time of day.
