Homepage for a fresh startup

Late last year I started working for a startup, Fluent Scientific. While there's been a lot of good stuff happening, it's not the stuff that you'd feature on a company website. So, when the need arose to replace the template site they'd been using and create our own, there wasn't much content and no assets to work with.

For the homepage, I decided to write an open letter as a way to explain the company while being able to talk personally to the reader and with some emotion. Combined with a big heading and a graphic element for interest, I was happy with it and with the site as a whole, especially as it was designed and built within a week.
