Nike Genealogy of Innovation

For the 2014 World Cup, we created The Nike Genealogy of Innovation, an immersive desktop and mobile experience tracing the evolution of Nike soccer innovation since 1971. The mobile experience also integrated with and enhanced the journeys at Nike's Phenomenal Houses in London, Berlin and Paris.

Using the latest WebGL technology to render 3D scans of over 200 Nike shoes and plot them onto an interactive 3D timeline, the experience let users on the site and around the world explore how Nike soccer innovation has been shaped by technologies from other sports to create some of soccer's most memorable boots.
The typography and iconography for the project was created by ILOVEDUST.
