Using Mind Map to Promote Candidates via Linkedin

I was helping someone with the recruitment for free and why not. But, you know sending a resume is not good enough these days. So I thought of creating a mind map by taking a lot of information from the resume such as some of his key skills, year of experience, current location, etc. So what about its usage you may ask. I have recently used this on LinkedIn via status update; basically a glimpse of text + this mind map to support.
