Working on a design for a local bar's membership club. The request was to create a logo that was reminiscent of a labor union logo, but that still fit nicely with the overall branding.

I poured through hundreds of union logos, and came up with a list of recurring themes. This is the final result (alternative design attached). What do you think? What would you do differently?
