MØNTEN - a personal poster

MØNTEN (The Coin) is a personal commission piece. This poster is a personal gift and proposal in one. The client was looking to create a poster for his girlfriend with the theme "the coin". They recently renovated an old laundromat, transforming it into their joint home, and having nicknamed it The Coin, this was central to the concept (in Danish a laundromat is called 'coin-wash'). A coin is also something of value, and the client wanted this to be an ode to his girlfriend. The poster is therefore filled with symbolism that speaks of the girlfriend's interests and many qualities. She turned 30, so that had to be a part of the message, and as a wild extra bonus the client wanted to propose to her, using this poster as a springboard, hence the engagement ring in the top right. I've been informed that she said 'yes', if anyone was curious ;)
