Style Tile
Recently finished a project engagement for a startup called MaxPlay, a game development platform for Windows, where I created the v2 of their user interface and visual system utilizing a series of different UI processes such as moodboarding, style tiles, explorations, directions, sprint design, and more. These shots are aimed to give a better background to many of the shots I post here on Dribbble.
Details: In this shot, I've just finished the moodboard phase, and I've dived headfirst into figuring out potential different treatments for buttons, typography, gauges, and many others. I consider the product needs as well as common UX patterns when building out a style tile.
I'm also trying to respect much of their current brand and aesthetic as well so it can't get too far out there, least not yet as you'll see later on.
Attachments: Included are 3 full resolution style tiles that were selected to be the best avenues to take for a design direction round the following week. You can see we were trying to wrangle in contrast issues early-on.
