Strava Calendar

I don't normally do unsolicited design work but lately I've found it to be a fun way to stretch the product design muscle and to visually comment on or review the apps I love. The key is not to take it too seriously and enjoy playing between real world projects.

Note that when I do this I have the luxury of working outside of the constraints and road maps that these app developers and designers might have. Sometimes these explorations even ignore core functionality and required details. Therefore the results are fictional and often rather wishful.

Now with that said...

I'd love Strava to have a calendar view for activities on the iPhone. I decided to place less emphasis on Challenges (a feature that is used only a few times a month) by shuffling the tab bar a bit and putting Calendar in second place after Activities. Settings and More could be put under the Profile tab. By having a calendar, user could easily see how they are doing on activities in terms of frequency and consistency.

The activity colors and stats are from Strava's web client training calendar. I decided to add activity streaks at the last minute for fun. :)
