Search bar morphing animation

Even though I know it's a bad one, 90% of the time, my job as a designer is to convert other people ideas into prototype...

I sincerely think that every bit of animation should tell a story. However, this one is WAY too complex and confusing, there is no relation between the beginning and the end.
