Build Good Habits Sketches
Thought I'd share some more sketches today an quickly go over the process that i'm using at the moment.
I've been making sure recently that I spend a lot of time on paper and have seen a huge difference is making the vector process smoother.
Currently I find myself:
1, Thumbnail sketches with a brush pen or pencil working out the layout and rough composition.
2. really rough and loose sketch to get some shapes on paper in the style I'm looking to use for the purpose.
3. Using a lightpad trace the rough version and just neaten it up to get a better idea of what it might look like.
4. Highlight all the errors with spacing and then again trace the version while making the necessary adjustments
5. Now I have a neat version to start to get more fussy with so again highlight my thoughts
6. Neatly trace the final sketch.
It's working really well and allows me to quickly see whether an idea has any potential as well as making them accurate to go and vector without too much messing around.
This piece will be taken into illustrator now and I will post some updates soon. Please check out the other sketches and let me know what do you all think?
