CUZZ BUZZ LOGO DESIGN

My client needed a logo for project she is involved with called ‘CuzzBuzz’. Her cousin and herself are doing a blogger/instagrammer thing where they share their favorite things from everything fashion, food, beauty, travel, lifestyle and more – things that make people ‘buzz’ every day.

I designed the word mark logo in Adobe Illustrator based on a circular font. It’s geometric in style, which sets it apart from similar blog logos which are more hand drawn and/or brush script in nature. The lettering is light, modern and sleek giving it a chic elegance. The letter-width and lower case as well as the round forms made it perfect for an intersecting monogram. I also wanted to make an icon to use as a fun symbol or additional graphic. Since the blog is run by a duo, I couldn’t escape the image of end quotation marks as bumble bees with wings that mimic the letter “B.” Because it was more or less a fashion and trend blog, I went straight to the Pantone site for color inspiration. There I chose a calm, relaxing shade of yellow called cream gold to add a splash of color and to tie in the overall buzz and trendy theme.
