Kiss the Horizon

I took a literature of the sea class in high school. One of the best teachers I ever had. He taught us how to determine our latitude by measuring the altitude of the sun with a sextant, all so we could understand the Horatio Hornblower novel we were reading. Pretty cool. One of the instructions is "Make the sun kiss the edge of the horizon." Always thought that was a little poetic...
