Prisons of our own making

"So many times we feel trapped.
So many times it’s our fault."

I hear people complaining about aspects of their lives, whether it's a relationship that doesn't work anymore, a job that makes them miserable or a project they never started. What strikes me the most is how rarely they take responsibility for it and how quick they are to assign blame to someone else or something they deem out of their control.
