Thank You Razlan!

I have been waiting since last year to get an invitation to Dribbble, but the barrier is high enough to get in. Thus when I got an invitation to be a player from Razlan last week, I couldn’t be happier and feel incredibly lucky and grateful for this opportunity.

Much has been posted about the “crime of Dribbble“, such as this and this. Some defended Dribbble - the inspiring Tobias van Schneider wrote this and Sacha Greif from SidebarIO wrote this. For me personally as a young designer, Dribbble is a playground to practice, create, explore, get inspired, learn and get feedback. I was fascinated by the idea of “rebound shot” when I first came across Dribbble years ago. It sparks new ideas and creativity - isn’t that part of the creative process?

For the first shot, I tried to get back my old rusty skills in After Effects and explored the commonalities of the round shape being used in the “Google Dots“ and the Dribbble logo. But mainly, I want to thank Razlan Hanafiah for the invite!
