Mind the hand

Here's an excerpt from our new internal guidelines article, Designing for Touch (inspired by @bigmedium's book).

DON’T: Animate something no one would see. Finger is not a cursor.

Basically, don't animate the point of interaction itself, because it might end up covered by user's finger. Instead, animate the area around and above the point of interaction to provide touch feedback to the user.
