Zeromile Issue 14

I helped create the 14th issue of Zeromile Magazine, a print and web-based publication, with other Communication Design students at MSU. The content reflected our collective experiences living in the United States in 2022. We are living in a moment where there are constant scientific discoveries that change our perception of reality, and technological leaps that present new questions about ethics and responsibility. Focusing on the concept of fusion, we explore technological advancements as well as cultural “fusion” impacted by the internet, globalization, and the interaction of distinct beliefs and practices.

Our task was to coordinate and structure a cohesive magazine based on fusion and mixing two concepts into one. The challenge was consistency, which is especially important when it comes to content and aesthetics. My job as Senior Designer was to help organize our creative pursuits and make sure everyone was following guidelines–type choices, imagery, illustrations, color theory, and production standards. I also took the responsibility of illustrating certain pieces throughout the magazine.
