Planning

This is the initial sketch of my fantasy poster. Right from the get go I wanted this poster to have many layers showcasing depth and detail, creating a wondrous lake in the middle of an enchanted forest.

Progress

After creating the illustration ie. filling in the colors, light, shadow, reflection etc I thought the piece was done. However I noticed there was a very glossy finish to my piece. Normally I wouldn't think this was an issue, but I was trying to go for a paper print like feel.

Final

To create the final look, I added layers of filter: mainly noise, and speckle to create the grainy effect I wanted. I believe this took my initial drawing to the next level.

Conclusion

I'm a self taught digital artist that have recently started using procreate. So the artworks you see on my page are a visual testament to my progress, as I figure out the odds and ends of the medium.
