Yaksha-Art-Inspired Dragon

In Thai culture, yakshas are mythical, powerful, and fierce guardians of sacred places, treasures, and people. Yakshas are somewhat synonymous to Thai art. I first saw a mural of it at a local yoga temple and was enamored - maybe because of its simplicity.

In a moment of inspiration, I doodled a dragon and it was in the form of a yaksha art that I tried to emulate for a long time. I processed it up in Illustrator planning to create a piece with thick outline - like the one on the yoga temple, but it looked more stunning without the outline.
