Hyundai: A Visual Storytelling with Manipulation
This project is a creative exploration of Hyundai’s exceptional car lineup—CRETA, CRETA Grand, Tucson, and Palisade—through the art of photo manipulation advertising. The goal was to visually represent the core features and specifications of each vehicle in an engaging, concept-driven manner, making the ads both compelling and impactful. By incorporating deserts, city roads, modern cityscapes, and natural landscapes, each composition enhances the storytelling aspect, placing the vehicles in real-world yet visually striking environments that resonate with their purpose and target audience. -
Concept & Execution I designed each ad with a focus on highlighting the key strengths of the vehicles while integrating them into thoughtfully chosen landscapes that enhance their appeal:
Hyundai CRETA – Positioned on modern city roads, highlighting its urban versatility, sleek design, and smart technology. The bustling city backdrop enhances its sophisticated yet dynamic appeal, making it the perfect compact SUV for metropolitan life.
Hyundai CRETA Grand – Set against a natural landscape, showcasing its spaciousness, comfort, and adaptability. The open roads and scenic surroundings emphasize its family-friendly nature and long-drive comfort.
Hyundai Tucson – Placed in a vast desert setting, symbolizing adventure, power, and off-road capability. The dramatic landscape reinforces its rugged performance and ability to conquer any terrain.
Hyundai Palisade – Integrated into a luxurious modern cityscape, reflecting its premium design, sophistication, and bold presence. The futuristic skyline and elegant lighting enhance its status as a high-end SUV. -
How These Ads Benefit Brand Establishment Emotional & Contextual Storytelling: Placing the cars in relevant settings creates strong emotional connections and makes the advertisements more relatable and aspirational. Enhanced Feature Communication: The backgrounds reinforce the vehicle’s strengths—from urban agility to off-road durability—helping customers visualize real-world applications.

Challenges & Overcoming Them Seamless Integration with Backgrounds – Ensuring the vehicles looked naturally embedded in the landscapes while maintaining realism. Solution: Precise shadowing, perspective adjustments, and high-detail masking techniques.
Balancing Aesthetics & Functionality – The images needed to be visually stunning without overshadowing the car’s identity. Solution: Careful color grading and composition structuring to enhance focus on the vehicle.
Creating High-Resolution Visuals – Maintaining crisp details in large-scale outputs. Solution: Using non-destructive editing techniques and optimized layer management for superior quality. -
