Christmas Stroll Ads

Custom ads I made for clients based out of Nantucket and Palm Beach for the holiday season

Nantucket Stroll is the last hoorah of the season on Nantucket Island before most things shut down for the winter, reopening in April for Easter and Daffodil Weekend. Many stores open their doors on the island one last time for the week of Stroll. These are some ads I created for a couple of clients for 2024 Stroll.

For the ad below, I was inspired by how icons form a natural shape. I converted each icon along the frame into a vector if it wasn’t already, applied an SVG filter, and then reconverted it back to a vector. Initially, I considered using the canvas particles method that I used here to frame the text, but manually arranging these vector icons in Canva didn’t take long. Happy with how it turned out!

For the background of this ad, I found this code of smokey lines since it mimics the style of one of my client’s restaurants. I tweaked the settings of the CSS-Doodle and the SVG filter to get the effect just right, then overlaid the concrete wall texture from Transparent Textures. After that, I added a box with another SVG filter, making the color slightly offset from the background, and layered in the text. Really love how it turned out!

For the video below, similar to what I did with the red ad above, I took a Nantucket icon from Canva and adjusted it with SVG filters to make it look slightly different and more free-form. I then converted it to a vector and manually placed it across the page, leaving space for text. After that, I duplicated the design to swap out the clothing in Canva and exported it as a video.
