This stance positioned the brand for an identity built around our handcrafted typeface, Briquette. Its letterforms are drawn from the same material that’s fueled barbecues and shared memories for decades—charcoal.


The typeface’s contextual alternative glyphs feature bold strokes with irregular, grainy edges, reflecting the crumbly texture of charcoal. With comprehensive international glyph support, Briquette functions seamlessly across Western European Latin-based languages.  

Our textured, bold type embodies Kingsford’s commitment to quality time by the grill and honors the brand’s legacy dating back to 1920.
