Utah Mammoths V.01 [NHL Concept Only]
I thought this afforded the perfect opportunity to go ahead and create a sports brand around a mammoth, plus I wanted to out my spin on the potential new name for the professional hockey franchise in Utah.
I wanted to try and not include any hockey imagery and stick to only mammoth and Utah elements to integrate.
This fun little exercise produced a visual identity of:
– Primary Logo (front facing, mean muggin’ mammoth)
– Custom Wordmark (combining mammoth fuzz and Utah mountains)
– Alternate Logo (full body mammoth 3/4 view + Utah natural park arch)
– Lettermark ("M" contained in Utah state shape)
– Brand color Palette (Inspired by the Utah Jazz)
