The Challenge

Ahl Masr Hospital provides free treatment for burn victims, yet many people in Egypt aren’t aware of the scale of the issue or how they can help. The existing website felt more like an informational portal rather than an experience that truly engages, educates, and drives action.

Burn injuries can be life-changing, especially for children, but if people don’t feel emotionally connected to the cause, they’re less likely to donate. My goal was to redesign the website in a way that puts users on an emotional journey one that naturally leads them to take action.

The UX Approach

Rather than just listing facts and donation options, I focused on storytelling and user flow to create an experience that feels personal and urgent:

• A Narrative-Driven Homepage: Instead of overwhelming users with statistics, the landing page starts with an emotional hook real stories, impactful visuals, and a clear message about why this matters.

• Guided Exploration: The design takes users through a journey first understanding the crisis, then seeing how donations make a difference, and finally guiding them toward taking action.

• Empathy-Driven Design: Since research showed that people are more likely to donate when they see children in need, I highlighted their stories in a way that builds emotional connection without feeling exploitative.

• Seamless Donation Flow: Whether users want to donate money, medical supplies, or sponsor a patient, every action is just a click away no friction, no confusion.

• Success Stories for Trust: A dedicated section shares stories of burn survivors who have rebuilt their lives thanks to donations, reinforcing the real impact of every contribution.

Conclusion

This wasn’t just about making the website look better it was about redesigning the experience to inspire action. By creating an intuitive flow that educates, connects emotionally, and simplifies donations, the new design ensures that more people feel motivated to support Ahl Masr’s mission.
