Memory and Taste

I've been to NYC 5 times in my life. The city gave me different memories every visit. In the early 90s, my family was there with an aunt who lived there, and we went to the Empire State Building. Overlooking Manhattan from the 86th observation deck, it mesmerized those who visit the concrete jungle for the first time. After 30 years, I visited NYC with my wife and son and looked around the local restaurants in Manhattan because having a pizza was on my wife's to-do list. There are thousands of pizzerias in NYC, but I found the one near New York Library. It was small but looked clean, healthier than the street $1 pizza, so we decided to have it. It was impressive even though it was slightly burnt dough, and they became our must-go place when we trip to New York.

This week, I received an email from them that they will be closing next Friday because they can't afford the rental cost. I felt so sad as my memory would disappear too, so I decided to create an illustration inspired by their pizza because my illustration would never gone.

Adios Stone Bridge Pizzeria!
