The City of Cambridge partnered with Nimblebot to overhaul its visual identity and reflect its strong values of inclusivity, diversity and innovation.

We were challenged with creating a cohesive and adaptable brand identity that could unify communications across departments while authentically representing the city's values. Consistent support was also needed for editorial design, campaign branding, digital platforms and community engagement.

Nimblebot created an adaptable branding system for the city featuring a vibrant logo, updated typography and versatile color palette. A custom illustration library captured Cambridge’s neighborhoods, landmarks and people, while campaign branding for key initiatives ensured cohesive messaging. The website was redesigned for accessibility and branded merchandise, while explainer videos and templates ensured consistent, engaging communications.

The rebranding established an inclusive visual identity that resonated with Cambridge’s diverse community, while being adaptable for future communications. Campaigns achieved greater participation, the redesigned website improved accessibility, the illustration library added authenticity to materials and templates maintained consistent branding.
