BRISTOL LIVE MAGAZINE 50TH ISSUE SPECIAL ILLUSTRATION

My client was looking for an illustrator to create a cover image for Bristol Live Magazine’s 50th issue. They are a local underground music magazine and wanted the piece to be a composite of the artists appearing in their list of memories since starting the magazine.

I created a cover image for Bristol Live Magazine’s 50th issue in illustrative portraiture simulated crayon style as requested using source images from list of key acts as noted in spreadsheet request. In Illustrator I created a light cream-colored textured paper-like background since they usually print on white or cream stock. Each artist/band was rendered in separate layers ( per color per layer and in some cases, per feature such as the eyes). The final document sizes are A6 (105 x 148mm) + 3mm bleed. Even their logo and text was rendered in the same illustrative style as to keep with the theme. All text is on a separate layer in Illustrator file. Files included: indd, 300 cmyk jpg, image only with and without background (without background saved as transparency as requested), ai and pdf.

"Great work in very good time, will definitely consider again if we need similar work in future." -BRISTOL LIVE MAGAZINE/LOKI LILLISTONE
