Boston Public Schools | 2023 Reports

We collaborate annually with Boston Public Schools (BPS) to design its Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) reports, transforming complicated data into visually-compelling and accessible publications.

BPS needed annual YRBS reports for high- and middle-schools, designed to present complex data on student health and risk behaviors. The challenge was to make the reports visually-engaging and accessible to educators, policymakers and community stakeholders while maintaining a professional tone.

We crafted a cohesive creative direction, starting with vital data to design custom illustrations, infographics and visualizations. The reports featured clear, structured layouts that highlighted key findings and ensured readability for diverse audiences. We also designed striking covers and tailored elements to resonate with both high- and middle-school readers to maintain consistency across both reports.

The final reports received positive feedback from BPS and stakeholders. The professional yet engaging designs made critical data clear and memorable, supporting informed decision-making. These reports remain a valuable tool for BPS in developing programs and policies for students.
