My relaxing app was perfect until i noticed i was having to strain more and more to reach the profile button.
My music app experience was seamless until I found myself awkwardly stretching my thumb just to reach the profile button. It felt like a small inconvenience at first, but over time, it became a frustrating habit. But then, with a few thoughtful adjustments—bringing the profile to an easier-to-reach spot, making the loop button more accessible, and refining the greeting 🤍—it all started to make sense. The small changes made a big difference, ✨turning the experience from slightly frustrating to effortlessly smooth :)
until I found myself stuck in silence every time I went offline. I’d open the app, ready to play my favorite songs, only to realize I needed to be online to choose them. 🥹 I couldn’t even tell right away that I was offline. The tiny notification at the bottom? wasn't serving. so, reimagining the experience. A clear offline notification lets users know their status immediately. A dedicated ‘Downloaded’ tab means no more hunting for playable songs. The clutter is gone, pooof! making offline mode feel like a seamless part of the experience— not an afterthought.
Final thoughts
This redesigns follows Fitt's Law and Jakob’s Law, ensuring that users’ expectations align with their previous experiences in other streaming apps. The changes simplify navigation, reduce frustration, and make offline listening truly more intuitive and effortless.
