Kiri Vehera of Polonnaruwa

Located north of Lankathilaka Pilima Ge, this enormous stupa is known as the Kiri Vehera of Polonnaruwa. It is said to have been constructed by "Subadra," a queen of King Parakramabahu (1153–1186). This was formerly known as the "Rupavathi Stupa," and it is also a component of Alahana Privena. It is currently 80 feet tall.The Rankoth Vehera, which is a component of the historic Alahana Pirivena, is the largest stupa in Polonnaruwa today, making this one the second largest. In addition, it is the only stupa that has remained intact after 900 years of natural forces.
