The Meaning Behind the Art

Castle in the Sky | Eink Illustration turned into a digital painting. From sketch to color idea to final artwork! Why did I draw this? See below 😊 Sketch done on the Supernote and finished in Procreate

The phrase "building a castle in the sky" is used as a phrase for extravagant hopes and plans that will never be carried out. And while it's often true, I think we have so little faith. I believe in a God that can do the impossible and more. I want the faith of a mustard seed to believe he can move mountains.

Do I have faith like this everyday? Nope! Do I struggle in my faith quite often, questioning everything I believe, YES! But my soul will often be realigned by the Holy Spirit that tells me he can build this castle. But the castle isn't for me, it's for Him. All of my work and art are for him, everything I do I want to do for Him. Because I know I can never repay Jesus for his death on the cross. And I know there is nothing I can boast about, but in HIM alone!

So while I can't build this castle, I know Jesus can do this through me (and you too!). I think I need more faith to believe he can move a mountain, I've seen Him do it in my own life. All glory and honor to Him. He alone is worthy.

So, don't build a castle for yourself here on earth. Let Jesus build it. Knowing that you will receive treasures in heaven. Let your good works be done in quiet so the Father sees and no one else will. That's hard, but that's the call. We aren't promised an easy life. We are promised salvation for eternity.

Create more than you consume and give more than you receive! Your reward awaits in heaven and I'm learning patience everyday.Have you heard this phrase used before?
