The Monster Called You

Genre: Horror

From the title, it suggests that you and me are our own worst nightmare and therefore the monsters we often think are others around us. The figure illustrates that creepy entity that hides within us below that blanket. Typography chosen to be a brush-like, yet spooky looking font fitting for the genre.

The Basement With The Weird Smell

Genre: Horror/Thriller

What we see here is not focusing on showing a basement or similar as a visual element, but rather a bucket with blood dropping in, to associate with the weird smell. Bold and grungy sans-serif font to create a stark contrast with the dark background, which also is a related element to a basement, which is usually dark. In addition, creating an interesting visual appeal with the dripping blood overlapping the title font.

The Boy That Never Laughed

Genre: Horror, Psychological

Story about researching a boy which is a patient in a mental institution. The frightening part is, that he supposedly never ever laughed. At least not in presence of another person. The strongest and most prominent visual element is the illustration with a style of gesture drawing of a young person in a seemingly expressionless look in the face. Typo used similar to the whole theme. Creating a contrast to bright and dark is used for making it more dynamic.

Hooked - A Teenage Horror Story

Genre: Horror

Typical teenage horror story with classic elements of an entity killing them with a slaughter hook. Here I wanted to merge the killer's hook with the typography itself, while the colours having complementary colours of red and green on a plain white space, which then takes on even more contrast and also an unsettling feeling. After all, not every horror story is dark and not every horror story takes place at night.

By Lantern Lights He Lurks

Genre: Horror

An entity dressed in black, wearing a long coat, wide cape and a hat, haunting a little town at night. It typically holds a lantern and one can spot a little light with the menacing silhouette in the fog.
