Versatility of the TM Monogram: A Sub-Project
Hey, Peeps!
It's been days since I last uploaded as I was working on using mockups to display my monogram logo, but here it is! I'm quite happy with the results, and I can't wait to design more to build my portfolio and improve as I go :D
What's in this Post?
1] Poster 1: Monogram in black and white + a transparent version with 3 additional hues that match the overall feel from here!
2] Poster 2: Original monogram on a white business card
3] Poster 3: Transparent monogram laser etched on a metal panel
4] Poster 4: An abstract version as a favicon that adapts to any browser theme

The Process:
My monogram looks pretty good with the original colours, but I also wanted to test if it would hold up well in just regular black and white. This is normally done by professional logo designers in plain pencil sketches and in the software of their preference before adding in the colours (depending on the client brief and kind of business, of course).
And to go the extra mile, I made the monogram transparent for added versatility!
I particularly liked experimenting with transparency, layers, and gradients to create movement and a simple, clean, and modern feel.
Colours:
1] Burnt Sienna/#E97451: Earthy orange for a fun and down-to-earth feel
2] Nero/#1E1E1E: Cool matte black for elegance
3] Honeydew/#F1FAEE: Mellow white for text in labels
4] Mint/#61C9A8: Cool and fresh
5] Sunglow/#FFD151: Warm and friendly
6] Alice Blue/#E1E5EE: Cool and pleasant
Label strip is #000000 (default black), black and white logo are in default black and white, and transparent version has only default black for the thin ring and monogram initials.
Typeface:
Text in labels uses Nova Mono (1001freefonts). It's free for personal and commercial use.

The Process:
To test the versatility of my monogram, I applied it to a business card (need to make a dark version afterwards!), and it looks quite neat after adding my own background.
I took an extra step to use transparency and layers to emphasise the card, and I gotta admit that it doesn't look that shabby!
Colours:
1] Burnt Sienna/#E97451: Earthy orange for a fun and down-to-earth feel
2] Nero/#1E1E1E: Cool matte black for elegance
3] Honeydew/#F1FAEE: Mellow white for card colour
Typeface:
1] Name + Job Title: Azonix (dafont.com; free for personal use only)
2] Email Address: Noto Sans (google fonts; free for commercial use)

The Process:
This one was a bit tricky as there was no decent laser etched metal mockup that I could use until I came across this one to display the trasparent monogram. It's good and it'll do for now, but, I'm happy that my first-time using mockups is coming along pretty well.
One more thing! I added a Nero background and popped on top of it a Burnt Sienna layer with reduced opacity to make the mockup pop out a bit and give a mellow feel to this poster.
Colours:
1] Burnt Sienna/#E97451: Earthy orange for a fun and down-to-earth feel
2] Nero/#1E1E1E: Cool matte black for elegance
3] Mint/#61C9A8: Cool and fresh

The Process:
Now this one was a bit more tricky since my monogram looked great as an avatar on Dribbble, but not quite visible when made into a favicon. So I came up with an idea to strip it down a bit to produce a minimal version that includes the original colour palette of Burnt Sienna and Nero as 2 different sized circles placed on a neutral background to maintain clear visibility on any browser theme.
Colours:
1] Burnt Sienna/#E97451: Earthy orange for a fun and down-to-earth feel
2] Nero/#1E1E1E: Cool matte black for elegance
3] Alice Blue/#E1E5EE: Cool and pleasant
4] Mint/#61C9A8: Cool and fresh
