Replant: Growing Transparency in Tree Planting

Replant World is tackling three interwoven challenges, biodiversity loss, climate change, and climate justice.

Based in Borneo, Indonesia they work closely with the Indigenous Dayak to restore forests in one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Facing economic pressures from industries that are having dire consequences for ecosystems, Replant World has designed a full-stack technology for Indigenous people to monitor, report, and verify forest restoration and access direct funding.

Replant World manages the complete workflow itself, with a mobile web application for planters that allows them to capture geotagged photographs of planted trees and assign species information. Within the Admin panel, submissions are then verified with successfully approved trees minted as NFTs and assigned to sponsors. The NFT gallery showcases the sponsors Tree NFT collection.
