What Does a Rose Mean to You?
This work was part of a series shining a light on the unethical treatment of flower farmers in Kenya, who supplied a large portion of the world's roses. The concept was to pair these tags with a bouquet of roses for someone to receive. I wanted there to be a bit of a shock factor for the recipient. I thought the juxtaposition of the outward beauty paired with the ugliness of its origin was an effective way to leave an impression on someone.
