Portrait

This illustration was really a big experiment. There was a lot of stages with this where I started simpler and went with block colours and little amounts of shading in the skin and hair, then quickly decided I wasn't pleased with it, though happy with the look and feel. I then sketched in details that made it look more pencil-like, then shaded more colours and layers into it and was extremely happy. The hair feels lively. Procreate on the iPad.
