π« Zoom Blocks Chat
Have you ever been on a Zoom call and found yourself completely distracted by whatever's happening on the chat?
In 2025, who hasn't been on a Zoom call and missed almost all by engaging in the chat instead? You might expect the chat to relate to the call's topic closely, but it often strays far from the subject. This got me thinking...
What If... the host could turn off the chat feature to keep everyone focused and then turn it back on during the Q&A session at the end of the call?
I can see hosts finding this feature really useful, as it would at least give them the impression that nothing else distracts participants from the call's content. (But we all know this isn't true)
The idea isn't too far-fetched, and I envision this being useful in multiple cases, especially if the chat can turn on at a specific point during the meeting.
What do you think? Have you ever hosted a Zoom call where you wished people would stop chatting with each other and instead listen to you? I have!
