Bitmojis

The Bitmojis were designed in 2018 for Kode, a personal assistant app created for kids to assist with the digital interactions of PlayKids Explorer—a monthly personalized subscription box featuring interactive stories.

From time to time, Kode would ask how the child was feeling, and since we were working with young children, using text-based responses wasn’t an option. To address this, we developed these playful emojis to represent common feelings within our user base while maintaining the app’s cartoony, tech-inspired aesthetic.
