Introducing Thread Marks: A Simple Feature with Big Impact

As part of a personal exercise to explore usability improvements, I designed a small but impactful feature for ChatGPT: thread marks. This addition allows users to save specific points within a conversation, creating an easy-to-navigate list of saved markers.

For users engaging in long and complex discussions, this feature can save significant time and effort. Instead of endlessly scrolling to find key moments, thread marks provide a simple way to quickly revisit important parts of a conversation, enhancing both efficiency and user satisfaction.

This is a good example of how sometimes it takes just a small change to greatly improve the user experience.

What I love most about my work is having the opportunity to make people’s digital lives easier. It’s a privilege to contribute to designing solutions that simplify and improve the way we interact with technology—something not everyone gets to do.
