Every six weeks at work, I have a big presentation in front of the company, discussing upcoming features, updated processes, and other strategies. I genuinely enjoy my job and the company, but I can’t deny that these meetings make me nervous. Like many people, I care deeply about the quality of my work, how my colleagues perceive me, and how well my solutions are received.
Because of this, I often feel like a nervous wreck leading up to my presentations. I strive to deliver the best presentations possible, and while I know I may never reach that ideal, aiming high helps me set a good standard. To cope with my nerves, I find it helpful to listen to calming lo-fi music to breathe and visualize a successful presentation.
This got me thinking: What if Spotify introduced a "calendar-synced" playlist that, using AI, provided songs tailored to your upcoming events? Birthday party? Birthday playlist. Wedding? Wedding playlist. Work meeting? Meeting playlist. You get the idea.
I see how this could go awry for people with crowded calendars who may not need a playlist for every event—like fixing the dishwasher or going to a doctor’s appointment. However, for significant occasions like “Vacation to Cabo,” having a playlist ready on the day of departure would be great.
It’s not a wild idea, but considering the infinite use cases, it could be challenging to implement.
