UX/UI - Resume Customization with AI Skill Insights

Problem Statement: Previously, the AI automatically customized the user's resume by comparing it with the job description (JD) and adding missing skills to improve the match. However, this approach sometimes suggested skills that the user did not possess in real life, which could lead to a dishonest representation of their abilities. This mismatch created trust issues and a lack of authenticity in the resume.

Objectives:

• - Enable users to review and confirm the AI-suggested missing skills before adding them to the resume.

• - Provide a transparent process where users can control which skills to include, ensuring honesty and accuracy.

• - Allow the AI to assist in customizing the resume only after user input, avoiding the automatic addition of irrelevant or falsely claimed skills.

• - Present the changes in an interactive sidebar, showing the customized skills while allowing the user to close it once they are satisfied.

• Solution: Instead of automatically adding missing skills, the new flow will prompt the user with a pop-up that suggests skills from the JD. The user will then decide which skills to add based on their real experience. Once the user confirms their choice, the AI will customize the resume with the selected skills. An interactive sidebar will display the changes made, and the user can easily close it by clicking "Got it," ensuring a smooth and authentic customization process.

• Result: This updated approach ensures that the resume remains authentic by allowing users to verify and select only the skills they truly possess. The process is more transparent, helping users feel confident in the final outcome. By providing control over skill additions, the solution enhances the integrity of the resume while still offering valuable AI-driven suggestions to optimize job matching.
