VA Foothills Distillery Blind Preacher Bourbon Whiskey Packaging

We’re thrilled to unveil our latest whiskey packaging project, deeply rooted in the history and beauty of the Virginia Foothills. This design is not just a tribute to the landscape, but also to a local legend—James Waddel, the "blind preacher of Virginia." Patrick Henry and James Madison both spoke of his preaching eloquence, leaving a lasting impression on history.

Inspired by Virginia’s iconic historic landmark signs, the label shape evokes the spirit of the state’s rich past. The Virginia Foothills logo anchors the design at the bottom and neck, while a ribbon-like element wraps around the bottle, drawing you in.

This single barrel offering is indicated by additional bursts of copper and an additional stripe along the diagonal ribbon, bringing attention to this elevated option.

To date, two releases are available. Pictured first is the rye small batch, indicated by the vibrant blue that stands off the copper liquid beautifully, carried through to a cameo of the blind preacher, and down to the band along the bottom which offers more detail on the liquid inside.
